Please note a training session that maybe of interest to you:

 

Title: Dementia Awareness Training

 

Time: 14 Sep 14:00 - 15:00 in MF2

 

Abstract: Do you engage with members of the local community as part of your research? Do you have a family member who has been diagnosed with Dementia? Are you aware that there is more to dementia than loss of memory? What makes a community space dementia inclusive? Join Meeting Centre Manager Jan Brown for a Dementia Awareness training session. Jan has worked with Alzheimer Scotland as a Dementia Advisor and has personal experience of challenges faced by families living with dementia. This informal training will last an hour, 45 minutes plus 15 minutes for questions. This training will introduce you to a range of dementias and will provide a safe space for you to ask questions. The aim is to increase awareness of how you can make your research practice more inclusive and identify ways to improve community access for all.

 

The training session in organised by the Centre for AI in Assistive Autonomy.
